Meet Our Principal

Palm Glades Academy

Mrs. Aishia McQueen has been appointed as Principal of Palm Glades Preparatory Academy which serves Middle School through High School in Miami, Florida. Mrs. McQueen was formerly the Assistant Principal at Palm Glades Academy's sister school, Everglades Preparatory Academy and Everglades Preparatory Academy High School. Before operating as an administrator with Charter School Associates, Mrs. McQueen was a Curriculum Support Specialist for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Mrs. McQueen further honed her leadership and instructional skills by serving as a High School Reading Teacher, High School Language Arts Department Chair, High School Literacy Coach and High School Administrator between 2005 and 2017.

The mission of Palm Glades Preparatory Academy is to provide students with a well-rounded middle-school education, through a challenging program, focused on mathematics and science using innovative, reform-based instructional methods in a stimulating and nurturing environment that fosters maximum student achievement.

The mission of Palm Glades Preparatory High School is to provide students with a well-rounded college preparatory and career exploration high school education, through a challenging academic program supported by technology, on-site learning experiences via local business and the opportunity to tie classroom learning with the real world of work.

ACCREDITATION

Palm Glades Preparatory Academy is a Cognia accredited educational institution. Accreditation through Cognia indicates that Palm Glades Preparatory Academy has met rigorous, research- based standards of  educational excellence to ensure the education program offered at Palm Glades Preparatory Academy meets the needs of learners through proficiency in Leadership Capacity, Learning Capacity, and Resource Capacity. Using these standards, Palm Glades Preparatory Academy targets areas in each domain for continuous improvement in creating student success.
